First Source Worldwide (FSW) manufactures and distributes tailor-made chemicals and colorants. We focus on sourcing quality chemical and dye products for use across multiple industries and applications including leather, textile, paper, coatings, carpet, wood, and more.
FSW is looking for a production associate to work first shift, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job duties:
- Ensure safety of self and coworkers by following all company guidelines and procedures
- Pull allocated materials from the warehouse and transport to appropriate workstations.
- Confirm weights of partial containers, reports discrepancies.
- Load equipment according to work orders with proper product and weight.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation, equipment, and overall facility.
- Take samples from finished products and deliver to the laboratory for quality control testing; make adjustments to batches as dictated by the laboratory after testing.
- Package materials based on instructions provided in the work order.
- Ensure cleanliness of all FSW packaging prior to staging in the shipping & receiving area.
- Label all batches with pre-approved FSW labels that include the product name and batch number.
- Place finished orders in the staging area for shipping & receiving to prepare for shipment.
- Transport and place goods in assigned storage locations to be easily identifiable, accessible, and protected.
- Maintain order of raw materials by properly stocking items and returning them to appropriate stock locations.
- Assist in ensuring the appropriate safety equipment and supplies are stocked.
- Complete all paperwork relating to a batch order.
- Maintain attendance that complies with company guidelines
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Highschool diploma / GED (required)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift or move up to 60 pounds
