Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician specializing in commercial electrical systems to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems within commercial construction sites and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with various tools, schematics, and electrical codes. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including low voltage and high voltage circuits.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical components to support automation systems.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate installation activities and ensure timely project completion.
- Perform renovation tasks involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing commercial structures.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur.
- Assist with schematic reading and interpretation for complex electrical configurations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage and high voltage wiring systems.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and safety protocols for construction sites.
- Experience working on renovation projects within commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of construction site procedures and coordination.
- Skilled in frame carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus for versatile project support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting electrical issues.
