What You’ll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial environments
- Wire and commission solar PV installations and battery storage system commissioning
- Complete panel upgrades, service work, and electrical diagnostics
- Ensure all work meets NEC code compliance and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
Required Qualifications
- Alaska Journeyman Electrician License (Certificate of Fitness)
- Minimum 3+ years of electrical experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Strong understanding of NEC codes and electrical safety standards
- Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting and system diagnostics
- Valid Driver’s License with good MVR
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate within 2 weeks
- Comfortable working in outdoor Alaska conditions
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with solar energy systems or renewable energy installations
- Familiarity with battery storage systems or off-grid electrical systems
- NABCEP certification (or willingness to obtain)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Pay & Benefits
- $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (DOE)
