Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics interpretation.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards and structural integrity.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to diagnose electrical faults accurately and efficiently.
- Manage facilities maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedules, and inventory.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors during specialized repairs or upgrades, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain safety protocols during all maintenance activities, including proper use of tools like welders and adherence to electrical safety procedures.
- Support manufacturing or large-scale facility operations by implementing effective maintenance strategies that minimize downtime.
- Lead or participate in team efforts for emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
- Assist with supervising junior technicians or maintenance staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for effective diagnostics.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding their programming basics is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for minor repairs or aesthetic improvements.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing with ohmmeters, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and inventory control.
- Excellent customer service skills to address guest or staff inquiries professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Supervising experience that demonstrates leadership capabilities within a maintenance team or subcontractor environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or large-scale facility operations is a plus.
