We are seeking to grow our roster of experienced Event Lighting Technicians. This is a part-time position with a fluctuating schedule based on our booking calendar.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, install, and tear-down lights, truss, cables, and related equipment
- Program and operate an Avolites lighting console during events
- Troubleshoot technical issues before and during events
- Collaborate closely with teammates, clients, and other vendors to ensure smooth execution of plans and lighting cues
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
- This job requires prior experience with lighting consoles, with strong preference for the Avolites Titan product line
- Solid understanding of lighting design principles and techniques
- Experience with different types of lighting fixtures, including LEDs, moving heads, and conventional lights
- Foundational understanding of DMX, wireless DMX, and related technologies
- Experience with audio/video systems is a major plus
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Strong sense of professionalism and respect for event etiquette, especially including weddings
- Comfortable on ladders and elevated work platforms (eg, scissor lifts)
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift 50 lbs, including overhead
- Able to travel to events within the greater Seattle/Eastside area
- Available on evenings and weekends as needed
