Job Overview
We are seeking a seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing team at Mother Plumber, a newly established plumbing services company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business relationships, generating qualified opportunities, and driving revenue growth across residential, commercial, and service divisions.
This role requires a proactive approach to prospecting, networking, and relationship building while effectively communicating our plumbing services and value proposition. As a key member of our growth team, you will play a critical role in establishing our brand in the market, securing new customers, and building long-term partnerships that support the company's expansion.
Duties
- ·Conduct cold and warm outreach to prospective customers, including property managers, general contractors, builders, facility managers, HOAs, municipalities, and commercial business owners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to generate recurring service, maintenance, and project work.
- Analyze local market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with prospects and customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored plumbing solutions.
- Utilize CRM platforms to manage accounts, track sales activities, maintain accurate records, and monitor pipeline progression.
- Develop and deliver proposals, pricing, and service agreements aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements while ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate closely with operations, dispatch, estimating, and field teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Attend industry events, trade associations, networking functions, and community activities to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
- Provide insights and feedback to leadership on market conditions, customer needs, and opportunities for service expansion.
- Meet or exceed established revenue, lead generation, and business development goals.
- Drive accountability and performance across teams, including technicians, office staff, and field leaders
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer relationship management, preferably in a service-based, plumbing, construction, HVAC, electrical, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques, including prospecting, relationship building, negotiation, and closing.
- Experience selling B2B services to commercial customers, property managers, contractors, or facilities organizations is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM software is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.
- Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for customer meetings and networking events.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
7–15+ years of operations leadership experience, ideally in home services (plumbing, HVAC, electrical) or a similar field service business
Established network within the local commercial real estate, construction, property management, or facilities management community.
Experience selling recurring maintenance agreements and service contracts.
Traveling 80-100% of the time in Indianapolis and surrounding areas
Pay: $75,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
