Job Title: Assistant Apartment Manager
Location: San Leandro, CA
Pay: $25-$28 per hour, based on experience
Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Apartment Manager to support the daily operations of a 200-unit building. This role is essential for managing tenant relations, coordinating property maintenance, and assisting with financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to tenant satisfaction, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Tenant Relations:
- Act as the primary contact for tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Investigate and resolve tenant complaints, promoting a positive community.
- Property Maintenance:
- Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, and security.
- Report rule infractions and maintenance needs to the Property Manager.
- Work with contractors on building upkeep and service needs.
- Financial & Administrative Tasks:
- Process rent payments and assist with budgeting.
- Manage financial records, bookkeeping, and mail.
- Prepare lease agreements and maintain accurate records.
- Marketing & Leasing:
- Advertise available units, conduct showings, and process applications.
- Ensure lease compliance with anti-discrimination laws.
- Additional Support:
- Train new staff, inspect units during move-ins/outs, and complete other tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and basic math skills.
- Prior experience in property management or customer service is preferred.
- Proficient with property management software and Microsoft Office.
