Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and kind professional Server to join our dynamic Krewe. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service, food knowledge, and hospitality. Prior experience in casual dining or food service is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems and guest relations. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while delivering memorable dining experiences.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash and process payments accurately using cash handling and cashiering skills
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, refilling water, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, including beer and wine pairings or specials
- Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and resolve any issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is often required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
