Job Types: Part-time on Weekends.
Garden Spring Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an energetic and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team. This role supports the planning and implementation of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ quality of life and promote engagement in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
Assist in planning and leading daily group and individual activities for residents
Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic programs
Support special events, holiday programs, and community outings
Set up and clean activity areas and supplies before and after programs
Document resident participation and responses to activities
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support residents’ emotional and social needs
Provide companionship and support to residents during activities
Follow safety, infection control, and facility guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in long-term care, recreation, or activities programming preferred
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with elderly and rehabilitation populations
Creative, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
