We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our endocrinology practice. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical assisting and a passion for providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the physician with patient care, taking vital signs, administering injections, scheduling diagnostic procedures, obtaining prior authorizations for medications and procedures, referrals to other specialists, and performing other duties as needed. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Administer injections, immunizations, and other treatments as directed by the physician.
- Perform medical screenings and document results.
- Assist with endocrinology procedures.
- Assist with patient education on endocrinology-related topics.
- Maintain patient records and medical charts.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
- Schedule diagnostic procedures and obtain prior authorization.
- Referrals to other specialists.
- Otain prior authorization for medications.
- Assist with scheduling appointments.
