Overview
The Supervisor, Grades 3-5 Programs will be responsible for leading and supporting the Grades 3-5 instructional program by promoting academic excellence, operational effectiveness, and student success. This position partners with instructional leaders and teachers to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, strengthen educator effectiveness, monitor student achievement, and prepare students for upper elementary rigor and state accountability in a virtual learning environment.
Essential Duties
- Leadership & Program Oversight
- Provide direct supervision and strategic guidance to Grades 3–5 teachers and Lead Teachers.
- Foster collaborative, high-performing instructional teams focused on student achievement and continuous improvement.
- Lead regular grade-level meetings to ensure alignment with school priorities, instructional expectations, and campus culture.
- Curriculum & Instructional Leadership
- Oversee implementation of TEKS-aligned curriculum with an emphasis on reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Monitor instructional quality to ensure rigorous, engaging, and data-driven instruction.
- Support instructional best practices, differentiated instruction, and effective integration of technology in the virtual classroom.
- Collaborate with Curriculum & Instruction to ensure curriculum fidelity and instructional consistency.
- Teacher Coaching & Development
- Conduct instructional observations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Develop individualized growth plans based on teacher performance data.
- Support professional learning communities (PLCs) and facilitate collaborative planning.
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of instructional staff.
- Student Support & Progress Monitoring
- Analyze benchmark, formative, and state assessment data to identify instructional trends.
- Lead intervention planning through MTSS and RTI processes.
- Monitor student growth and instructional effectiveness, ensuring students are prepared for state assessments.
- Family & Community Engagement
- Promote proactive communication between teachers and families.
- Support parent workshops and family engagement opportunities that strengthen student learning.
- Address parent concerns while maintaining positive school-community partnerships.
- Operations & Logistical Oversight
- Manage instructional scheduling, staffing, and grade-level initiatives.
- Coordinate benchmark testing and campus instructional events.
- Ensure virtual learning environments remain engaging, organized, and student-centered.
- Compliance & Instructional Duties
- Support state assessment administration and testing compliance.
- Participate in ARD, Section 504, MTSS, and intervention meetings as needed.
- Provide instructional support and classroom coverage when necessary.
- You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in upper elementary grades.
- Strong understanding of TEKS, assessment systems, and instructional best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze student achievement data.
- Experience coaching and developing teachers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity.
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- Previous instructional leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience supporting Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), data-driven instruction, and teacher development preferred.
- Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment preferred.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate.
- Texas Principal Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
