Job Overview
The Repair Center Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, testing, and validation of UPS and power conversion equipment within the Repair Center. The role ensures the reliability, safety, and quality of repaired products by managing repair activities from initial fault analysis through final run-in testing, while maintaining accurate technical documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Through close collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Service teams, the position contributes directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Job Responsibilities / Activities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage electrical equipment and components returned from customers
- Perform functional, electrical, and safety testing using appropriate tools and procedures
- Identify root causes of failures and accurately document repair actions
- Reassemble, calibrate, and validate repaired products to ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and test results
- Follow established safety, quality, and repair procedures in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Communicate technical findings with supervisors, engineering, and customer service teams as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to repair efficiency and product reliability

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- Technical diploma, vocational training, or equivalent experience in electrical, electromechanical, or industrial maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with low-voltage electrical systems is an asset
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple repair tasks and effectively prioritize workload
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently when required
