The Opportunity
The Operations Manager is responsible the safe, efficient and successful operations of PWR North America manufacturing facilities. The role provides end-to-end leadership of site operations, with a strong emphasis on production performance, operational excellence and commercial outcomes. The operations Manage is accountable for delivering output, quality, cost and delivery targets, while ensuring the site scales capability in line with PWRs global growth strategy. Consistent with other regional roles, the position carries full accountability for site performance, people leadership and alignment to global operating standards.
Specific Duties of Role:
Production & Operational Leadership
- Lead all production functions to achieve output, quality, cost and on-time delivery targets
- Optimize throughput across machining, fabrication, core build and assembly operations
- Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure alignment between production schedules, capacity planning and customer demand
- Drive operational discipline through standard work, KPIs and performance management
Customer & Financial Performance
- Own site-level P&L performance, including cost control, productivity and margin improvement
- Partner with Sales, Program Management and Engineering to support revenue growth and delivery commitments
- Ensure production decisions balance operational efficiency with commercial outcomes
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, pricing improvement and operational leverage
Site Leadership & General Management:
- Act as the senior leader of the North America operation, accountable for overall site performance
- Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team across production, quality, planning and support functions
- Build capability, accountability and depth within the local leadership team
- Ensure effective communication and alignment with global PWR functions
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety-first culture across all shifts and departments
- Ensure compliance with all local regulatory, WHS and PWR policy requirements
- Maintain PWR’s world-class quality standards across all products and processes
- Oversee incident management, risk mitigation and continuous improvement in safety and quality systems
Capacity, Capability & Growth
- Build scalable production capability aligned with PWR’s global growth strategy
- Lead workforce planning, skills development and succession planning for key roles
- Support capital investment decisions including equipment, layout and process improvements
- Ensure readiness for new programs, customers and product lines
Cross-Functional Integration
- Ensure strong linkage between Sales, Engineering and Production to deliver customer outcomes
- Partner with global functions to align systems, processes and reporting standards
- Contribute to global initiatives including operating model optimization and capacity planning
