Fence Builders USA is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented Sales Manager to transform our sales culture, improve our sales process, and build a world-class one-call-close sales organization.
This is not a desk management position. We are looking for a proven sales leader with extensive experience managing in-home sales teams, implementing structured sales processes, coaching representatives in the field, and creating a culture of accountability and performance.
The ideal candidate has successfully led teams that consistently close business on the first appointment and has a track record of recruiting, training, and developing top-performing sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of 6-10 sales representatives.
- Establish and enforce a structured one-call-close sales process.
- Drive improvement in close rates, average sale size, and overall sales performance.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs and field coaching sessions.
- Review sales metrics and hold team members accountable to KPIs.
- Build a culture focused on urgency, professionalism, accountability, and execution.
Sales Training & Development
- Create and deliver ongoing sales training programs.
- Coach sales representatives on:
- One-call-close techniques
- Objection handling
- Financing presentations
- Value-based selling
- Price conditioning
- Closing strategies
- Conduct weekly sales meetings and role-play sessions.
- Develop sales scripts, presentations, and sales standards.
Recruiting & Hiring
- Recruit, interview, and hire top-performing sales talent.
- Build a continuous recruiting pipeline.
- Onboard and train all new sales representatives.
- Develop a structured 30, 60, and 90-day training program.
Process Improvement
- Analyze and improve every stage of the sales process.
- Identify bottlenecks that prevent sales from closing on the first visit.
- Implement systems for follow-up, accountability, and performance tracking.
- Work closely with operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Performance Management
- Set individual and team sales goals.
- Monitor conversion rates and closing percentages.
- Develop scorecards and performance dashboards.
- Coach underperformers and recognize top performers.
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE
- Minimum 5 years of sales management experience.
- Proven experience leading a one-call-close sales team.
- Experience managing in-home sales representatives.
- Demonstrated success improving sales conversion rates.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and training sales professionals.
- Strong understanding of sales psychology and closing techniques.
- Ability to build and implement sales systems and processes.
- Experience conducting field coaching and ride-alongs.
