SWIM INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include proper instruction of group lessons and communication with current clients (parents and swimmers) as to progress made and skills needed to proceed to a higher class level. Along with this, instructors will maintain a schedule for private & semi-private swim lessons and deliver high quality private and semi-private instruction to clients of all ages and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORKING CONDITIONS:
Applicant must have the ability to spend extended periods of time in and out of the pool, both indoor and outdoor in the warmer months, be able to physically assist children of various ages during lessons, and agree to assist with coverage of co-workers’ class schedules when necessary.
EXPERIENCE:
- Water Safety Instructor – Red Cross (preferred)
- CPR (preferred)
- Experience preferred but not necessary
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Above average work ethic
- Ability to take direction and execute appropriately
- Outgoing personality with team player mentality
- High degree of integrity
- Above average organizational skills and ability to meet commitments
- Ability to share work space and cooperate with co-workers
- Great communication skills and ability to connect with customer and staff
