Job description:
We are a growing towing and parking enforcement company seeking a diligent and professional Spotter to join our team in the Tampa and St. Petersburg areas. This role involves providing information, guidance, or assistance to the Overnight Driver’s to identify vehicles in violation of parking regulations by adding a warning stick or calling the overnight driver to safely transporting them to the impound yard. The ideal candidate is a skilled and reliable driver with a clean driving record, strong knowledge of traffic laws, excellent customer service skills, and must be at least 23 years of age. We offer a guaranteed base salary and a consistent schedule of no more than 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an extra set of eyes for drivers to help Identify vehicles in violation of parking regulations.
- Perform vehicle releases and cashier duties, handling challenging customers as needed.
- Assist with securing vehicles using straps, wheel lifts, or other towing equipment as directed by the tow truck driver.
- Fill out and maintain accurate records of impound activities and transactions.
- Receive and process cash and credit card payments.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with other yard or operational duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the last 5 years.
- Must be at least 23+ years of age (for insurance purposes).
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Previous towing, automotive, or yard operations experience is a plus but not required.
- Attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation, and cellphone.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting, crawling, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing, and stamina required.
- Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
