Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical fitness and emotional stability to carry on the job

Must successfully pas the Division of Health Food Safety Exam

Background in institution food service preferred
Work Hours: 7 Hour day starting time determined by location, schedule may fluctuate based on the school schedule or activities.
Hillcrest/Intermediate Schools: 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
WTMS/AFHS: 6:30 am to 1:30 pm
Examples of Duties - May include, but not limited to, the following:

Prepare kitchen and cafeteria for use.

Put up and take down cafeteria tables.

Assist with preparation of all menu items.
-
Assist with all aspect of meal service. Including menu preparation, service, and clean up.

Assists in the cleaning and storage of cafeteria equipment.
-
Assists in taking monthly inventory and dating of foods and supplies.
-
Assists with all cleaning duties. Including ovens, dish room/dishwasher, shelves, etc.
-
Rotation of stock. All stock must be rotated weekly using the FIFO (First in First Out) System
-
Assist manager with book-keeping.
-
Help with special food items related to school functions.
-
Take control of kitchen in absence of kitchen manager.
-
Any other duties as assigned by manager.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to exert 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Ability to stoop, climb, stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor, physical mobility and stamina to participate in activities which my be strenuous.
