American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a large academic teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of critical care or procedural experience and a valid MO or Compact RN license.

Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a large, short-term acute care academic teaching hospital with 1,259 staffed beds
-
All adult IR procedures performed, including body, vascular, and neuro
-
Average daily census of 8 patients per nurse
-
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30–18:00)
-
Weeknight call coverage (Mon–Thu, 18:00–07:30) expected approximately 3–4 times per 13-week contract
-
Weekend call coverage (Fri 18:00–Mon 07:30) expected approximately 1–2 times per 13-week contract
-
Approximately once per week, the nurse may be designated to remain past the end of shift to complete ongoing procedures ('Backup')

Every 5th or 6th Saturday (08:00–16:00) may be required as needed

Procedures may extend past 18:00 when ongoing cases are in progress

Skills utilized include titrating drips, central line management, CT-guided procedures, and bone biopsy

Philips monitors used in this unit

Charting is done in Epic
-
Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required (must be in hand at time of consideration)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Critical care background required — ICU, ED, or procedural experience accepted

Must pass a Relias EKG exam; EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills required

Ability to work independently is required

No visible tattoos; facial piercings must be removed or covered
-
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Prior IR experience is not required for this role

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Navy scrubs are required

Epic charting experience is required

No more than 7 days of RTO permitted during the 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Travelers may remain in assignment for a maximum of 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required before returning
