Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
- Apply nail art techniques based on client preferences, including color theory principles to create visually appealing designs
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure a satisfying experience
- Promote retail sales of nail care products and other beauty items through upselling strategies
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized work environment that complies with all health regulations
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail technology, esthetic treatments like dermabrasion or laser therapy, and industry best practices
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory to create harmonious and eye-catching nail designs
- Proficiency in applying nail extensions, acrylic nails, gel manicures, and other advanced nail techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with clients
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and overall hygiene practices
- Experience working in the beauty industry or cosmetology field with a focus on nail care
- Ability to perform additional beauty services such as body waxing, eyelash extensions, hair styling or threading is a plus
- Retail sales skills combined with upselling abilities to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and convey professional advice
