American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN First Assist for a CVOR/Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgery position requiring CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification.

Work in the Operating Room, specifically within CVOR, General OR, Transplant, and Thoracic surgical settings
-
Provides first assist support for Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic procedures
-
1:1 patient ratio during procedures
-
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Weekend work only required as part of call rotation
-
On-call responsibilities include 1 day per week and approximately 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to the Main OR as needed
-
Epic charting system preferred
-
Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and RNFA
-
CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification required

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgical experience required

Experience with procedures such as CABG, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, Carotid Endarterectomy, AAA repair, VATS, and Thoracotomy

Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Must complete facility privileging process prior to start, which takes approximately 120 days from signature

Serve as a surgical first assist supporting cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures

Candidates will undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager review

No holiday RTO accepted for this assignment

Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling

Locals accepted at the same rate

Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler

Returning travelers who cancelled or received a DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
