Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Security Installation Technician and become a vital part of safeguarding commercial and residential properties through expert installation and maintenance of advanced security systems. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, ensuring clients’ safety and security needs are met with precision and professionalism. As a key service technician, you will install, troubleshoot, and service a variety of low-voltage electrical security systems, including alarms, access control, CCTV surveillance, sensors, and fire alarm systems. Your technical expertise will help create secure environments while providing exceptional customer service throughout every project.
Duties
- Install electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and door security integrations following technical schematics and blueprints
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on low-voltage electrical wiring, equipment, and network connections to ensure optimal system performance
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to accurately configure system components
- Perform system testing using remote access software and other diagnostic tools to verify proper operation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to install cabling, conduit, sensors, and other hardware in various environments
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security systems and assist in resolving complex issues efficiently
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, service reports, system configurations, and customer interactions to ensure quality standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer in electrical security system installation or related field service roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, cabling techniques, and equipment troubleshooting
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for system design and installation planning
- Knowledge of surveillance (CCTV), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, fire alarm systems, and alarm & access control systems
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, network configuration, remote access software, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise system integration
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely during installations and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary; comfortable with manual labor involved in cabling and wiring tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel locally for installations and service calls

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
