We are seeking a dedicated 10th Grade UT Austin Onramps Chemistry Teacher to join our team at a private school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and creating a positive learning environment for high school students.
Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in Chemistry
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a conducive learning atmosphere
- Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and personal development
- Utilize laboratory facilities for practical demonstrations and experiments
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Teaching certification or license required
- Experience in teaching high school students preferred
- Proficiency in Chemistry and utilizing laboratory resources effectively
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to develop effective lesson plans tailored to student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
