Job Summary
The Masonry Foreman is responsible for supervising masonry crews, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to interpret construction plans, and a commitment to quality workmanship and job-site safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of masonry crews to meet project schedules and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to ensure accurate construction.
- Monitor workmanship and perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and building codes.
- Manage labor, materials, and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on all job sites.
- Track project progress, communicate updates to project managers, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Resolve on-site issues quickly to maintain workflow and budget goals.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and completed work.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift construction materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to travel between job sites as required.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Ability to oversee crews and actively participate in field operations when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Masonry Foreman or in a masonry leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of masonry construction practices, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Experience managing crews, materials, and project schedules.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
