Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, to complete daily routes efficiently.
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Follow prescribed routes using mobile devices and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages directly to customers’ doors, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform safe lifting practices during loading, unloading, and delivery processes.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and digital records using mobile devices or other electronic tools.
- Comply with all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, warehouse operations, and weight handling in the workplace.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery procedures.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle heavy loads safely, demonstrating manual handling skills and adherence to safe lifting practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices essential for compliance and safety on the road.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Comfort operating manual transmission vehicles or heavy-duty trucks; familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and record keeping is a plus.

Pay: $180.00 - $200.00 per day
