Position Overview
Description: Midwest Terminals is hiring full-time local truck drivers. The typical work week runs Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and involves driving a tractor trailer unit to one or more destinations with return to the Terminal at the end of the shift.

A Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering the loads they are assigned in a timely manner. Drivers must be aware of the weight they can haul legally and keep all permits and other paperwork in order within their trucks. Drivers must be able to complete daily hour logs and turn in all relevant paperwork at the end of each workday.
DUTIES:
- Complete pre and post trip inspection logs daily.
- Complete driver hour logs daily.
- Note on paperwork of any delays on driver route to and from sites.
- Collect BOL’s and organize paperwork to be turned in at the end of shift.
- Safely operate truck in accordance with OSHA, DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws
- Must keep trucks clean inside and out weekly.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to get in and out of truck multiple times during the day.
- Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties
- Observe all safety rules, PPE requirements and use safe work habits
- Comply with Company time and attendance policies
- Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid State-Issued Class A CDL
- Double and Triple Endorsements is desired
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Must possess a current DOT medical card
- Minimum of 2 years of Tractor-trailer experience
- Must meet the criteria to maintain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)

- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times.
- Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- This is a safety sensitive position requiring a well-rested and physically alert employee to keep the motoring public, oneself, and all team members safe each day.
