Are you skilled in assembling and fabricating mechanical components and products? Join our team at Tommy Gate as an Assembler and contribute to the production of high-quality liftgates in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Apply paint and coatings to liftgates, brackets, and parts using various techniques, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Operate, maintain, and clean painting equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow established painting processes and quality standards to achieve consistent results.
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and meet painting schedules.
- Monitor inventory of paint supplies and materials, and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects and address any issues to maintain quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized painting area.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach or twist.
- Ability to stand and/or walk long periods of time.
- Previous experience in painting or surface finishing is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with painting techniques and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage painting schedules and materials.
- Willingness to learn and follow established painting processes.
- Safety-conscious and able to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
