The Chop Shop Technician (Saw Operator) plays a critical role in the production process by precisely cutting metal components to specified lengths. Working on the manufacturing floor, you will read and interpret work orders, configure machine stops and guides, operate industrial saw equipment, and inspect output for defects — ensuring every cut meets quality standards.
This is a hands-on role requiring basic math ability, skill with measurement tools, and strong attention to detail. The company will train the right candidate.

Operate the saw machine: Run industrial cutting equipment safely and efficiently throughout each shift.

Set stops and guides: Configure machine stops and guides to the specified length for each job.

Cut metals precisely: Execute cuts accurately to meet production specifications for each work order.

Monitor for defects: Inspect output continuously while operating the machine; identify and flag any defects or quality issues.

Read and interpret work orders: Understand job requirements and translate them into accurate machine configurations.

Complete paperwork accurately: Maintain production records and documentation for each job.

Use measurement tools: Apply tape measures and other instruments to verify cut lengths and ensure accuracy.

Computer skills: Navigate job-related software and enter production data as required.

NetSuite ERP: Use NetSuite to reference work orders and log production activity (experience a plus; training provided).

Basic math skills — ability to perform measurements and simple calculations to set machine configurations.

Location: 100% on-site at our Austin, TX manufacturing facility. This role cannot be performed remotely.

Starting Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4 days/week).
