The Best Stop Cajun Market – Katy is hiring a Kitchen Cook / Meat Showcase Team Member! This role combines food preparation, customer service, and maintaining our specialty meat showcase. We’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment and love great Cajun food.
Responsibilities:

Prepare, cut, and create specialty stuffed meats for the showcase

Rotate and restock meat products to ensure freshness and quality presentation

Prepare and cook food using standard recipes and customer requests (including special orders)

Take phone and walk-in orders; assist customers quickly and courteously

Operate the register when needed to process orders and payments

Keep the kitchen and showcase area clean, safe, and organized

Work as part of a team to meet customer demand and maintain efficient operations
Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety/quality

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Previous kitchen, butcher, or retail food experience a plus (but not required)

Reliable, punctual, and a team player
The Best Stop Supermarket is a family owned cajun market that specializes in boudin and cracklins, which is a delicacy originating in South Louisiana. Along with boudin and cracklins, the Best Stop carries a wide variety of specialty meats that are seasoned and marinated with the finest cajun seasonings. The first Best Stop opened in 1986 and after 39 years, the family prides themself on being the best specialty meats originating from Louisiana.
In addition to specialty meats and boudin, the Katy location serves premade gumbo, crawfish etouffee, rice dressing, deboned stuffed chicken, fresh sausage, marinated meats, crawfish tails, king cakes, hamburger patties and all the favorite Best Stop Cajun seasonings and sauces. The Katy location includes a deli that cooks to order some of the Best Stop favorites.
