Duties

- Provide expert guidance on nutrition, weight loss, and dietary management for various conditions including geriatrics, acute care, and long-term care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Utilize EMR systems efficiently for documentation, tracking progress, and communicating with other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients on nutrition principles, dietary modifications, and the importance of adherence to prescribed plans.
- Stay current with advances in dietetics, physiology knowledge, and hospital protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospital or healthcare settings with a focus on geriatrics, acute care, or long-term care environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and specialized feeding techniques such as tube feeding.
- Proficiency with EMR systems for accurate documentation and communication.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ability to provide effective health coaching that motivates behavioral change.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutritional status assessment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple patient cases simultaneously.
