Responsibilities - Parts and Service/Labor Specialist:
- Help retail customers purchase parts and accessories, receive parts and stock into inventory, guide customers through the motorcycle maintenance and repair process, provide service options and costs, and much more.
- Keep inventory neatly stacked and orderly, keep parts/accessory showroom clean
- Provide excellence customer service
- Answer questions about parts and accessory merchandise and motorcycle service maintenance and repair options and costs
- Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously.
- Offer "specials" and additional products
- Diagnose motorcycle problems and estimate maintenence/repair costs
- Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level
- Occasionally assist technicians with service work.
- Perform cashier functions as needed.
- Become efficient with the computer system for service and parts management
- Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service.
- Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with dignity.
- Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
Qualifications - Parts and Service/Labor Specialist:
- Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts and service knowledge and experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to look up parts and quote prices using proper catalogue for particular motorcycle.
- Experience with point-of-sale and computerized inventory systems or able to quickly learn
- Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push a 600-900 lb. motorcycle.
- Motorcycle endorsement required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Valid Driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check
