Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on our product offerings, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of retail sales, product knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are a plus. As a Budtender, you will play a vital role in promoting responsible consumption and supporting the overall success of our dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling
- Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure proper merchandising of products
- Conduct product demos to inform customers about new or featured items
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain a clean and organized retail environment, including stocking shelves and cleaning displays
- Enforce compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations
- Supervise or assist with merchandising efforts to promote featured products
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in retail sales, including upselling and merchandising techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including product demos and safety information (preferred)
- Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within the team
- Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively (preferred)
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors
- Ability to stock shelves efficiently and maintain an organized store layout
- Prior experience in grocery store or retail environments is beneficial but not required
