Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and assisting with inventory management
- Demonstrate supervising experience by guiding new team members or assisting in training when needed
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience or grocery store background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions with shoppers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently and accurately
- Experience in merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales strategies is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus for supporting team leadership activities
