Essential Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Collaborates with the Nurse throughout each shift to determine work assignments and priorities, as well as communicating the status of delegated task completion and outcome of patient data findings
Oversees and manages the clinical workflow ensuring timely completion of all MA tasks.
Responsible for timely, efficient, and safe completion of triage messages.
Manages the walk-in workflow ensuring efficient patient cycle time
Serves as a trainer and mentor for new Medical Assistants. Trains and orients Medical Assistants in back office procedures and duties.
Ensures training checklists are completed and the proficiency of all Medical Assistant functions is in accordance to CTC standards
Maintains timely, ongoing verbal communication in order to assure good care of patients and the effective running of the clinic.
Utilizes methods to increase provider efficiency, continuity of care, and access for patients
Monitors front and back office to assure standardization and adherence to processes and procedures.
Collaborates with Medical Director and Healthcare Administrator to improve customer service, quality of care and make suggestions for process improvements
Is a resource and main point of contact for patient triaging for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Representatives in the absence of the Nurse
Responsible for collecting, collating and entering required data and information into the applicable database or format in an accurate and timely manner
Treats each patient in a manner that preserves and supports patient confidentiality, patient rights, and patient dignity
Checks inventories on a weekly basis, orders and stocks supplies
Assists any patient with personal hygiene as needed
Assures a clean, orderly, and functional work environment
Assists with administrative tasks as needed i.e. copying, faxing and filing
Qualifications:
Basic Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of medical terminology

Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training course

Able to obtain vital signs accurately

Ability to use personal computer for recording patient data /history

Proficient in reading and writing skills in English

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
Experience
- 5+ years of MA experience.
-
Certificate in Medical Assistant or Registered required
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Bi-lingual communicative skills preferred

CPR/BLS certification
-
Requires a current Arizona state driver’s license
