SUMMARY
The Utilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that 3 dispersed central energy plants, as well as several chillers and standalone boilers, are monitored and are running smoothly to supply high temperature, high pressure water and chilled water for use by the Customer at Fort Leonard Wood. In addition to the central plants, the incumbent in this position manages and leads a dedicated facilities maintenance and operations staff in a highly visible building complex.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Monitor plant operations for deficiencies and discusses with operators and maintenance crew.
· Provide technical assistance.
· Address issues and concerns with Directorate of Public Work’s inspector and Contract Office Representative (COR) and
· schedules jobs to be performed.
· Review contract requirements to ensure compliance.
· Scheduling for 24-hour operations, ensuring coverage for all shifts.
· Monitor and update preventative maintenance schedule for stationary equipment.
· Ensure employees’ timesheets and Labor & Equipment Utilization forms are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
· Inform Operations & Maintenance Manager of special projects and/or challenges in the field.
· Schedule delivery of and track fuel oil used.
· Perform walk-through inspections of plants and outlying facilities.
· Hold weekly safety meetings and discuss safety concerns for individual jobs.
· Schedule annual state boiler inspections.
· Employees are required to drive company vehicles on a Federal Installation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 3 years’ related experience on industrial and commercial sized stationary equipment.
· Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience
· Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
· Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
· Prefer 5 years of experience on industrial and commercial sized stationary equipment.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.

Pay: $77,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
