We're looking for an exceptional Head Coach to help launch and lead our Orangetheory Fitness studio in Middletown, Delaware. This is more than a coaching position. It's an opportunity to build a high-performing coaching team, create an incredible member experience, and help shape the culture of a studio from its very first day.

What You'll Do
Coach & Inspire
- Coach approximately 20–25 Orangetheory classes each week.
- Deliver energetic, safe, and motivating workouts that create an exceptional member experience.
- Educate members on Orangetheory's heart-rate-based interval training methodology.
- Provide coaching cues, exercise modifications, and form corrections for all fitness levels.
- Build genuine relationships with members that increase engagement, retention, and referrals.
Lead the Coaching Team
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop the studio coaching team.
- Conduct coach observations, provide feedback, and lead ongoing professional development.
- Maintain Orangetheory coaching standards and ensure consistency across every class.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-first coaching culture.
Drive Studio Performance
- Partner with the Studio Manager and ownership team to achieve membership, retention, and revenue goals.
- Monitor coaching KPIs including utilization, member satisfaction, attendance trends, and retention.
- Assist with coach scheduling and staffing.
- Help create action plans that improve the overall member experience.
Build Our Community
- Serve as a brand ambassador inside and outside the studio.
- Participate in community events, fitness challenges, and local partnerships.
- Help generate excitement leading up to and after our grand opening.
- Support member onboarding, milestone celebrations, and community engagement initiatives.
Studio Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and studio standards are consistently upheld.
- Assist with inventory and operational responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is more than an exceptional coach—they're a leader who develops people, builds culture, and inspires excellence every day.
You should have:
- Current nationally accredited fitness certification approved by Orangetheory Fitness (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, AFAA or equivalent)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Previous group fitness coaching experience
- Leadership, mentoring, or management experience
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals
- Ability to coach with high energy while maintaining exceptional safety standards
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Orangetheory coaching experience
- OTFit Certified or willingness to complete Orangetheory's certification process
- Experience leading coaching teams
- Sales or member engagement experience

Requirements
- Current fitness certification approved by Orangetheory Fitness
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Ability to complete Orangetheory's OTFit certification process (if not already certified)
- Ability to work approximately 35–40 hours per week
- Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
