About the Role
Are you a hands-on warehouse professional who thrives on organization, accuracy, and operational efficiency? Jendco Safety Supply is looking for a Receiving Lead to oversee daily receiving activities and help ensure inbound products are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound product flow, and supporting warehouse operations through strong organization and attention to detail. The Receiving Lead works closely with warehouse leadership, purchasing, inventory control, and receiving team members to ensure products are received, documented, and stocked properly.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong understanding of warehouse receiving processes and inventory management. Success in this role requires leadership by example, strong communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
This position goes beyond processing shipments-it is about creating consistency, maintaining accuracy, supporting team success, and driving continuous improvement throughout the receiving operation.
What You'll Do

Receiving Operations: Lead and support daily receiving activities, including unloading, inspection, verification, and processing of inbound shipments.

Inbound Coordination: Prioritize incoming deliveries and coordinate receiving workflow to maintain efficiency and minimize delays.

Shipment Verification: Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and system records to ensure accuracy and identify shortages, overages, or damages.

System Processing: Process and validate receiving transactions accurately and timely within NetSuite and other company systems.

Inventory Accuracy: Monitor inventory discrepancies, receiving errors, damages, and shortages while escalating concerns and supporting resolution efforts.

Product Staging: Ensure all received products are properly labeled, staged, and prepared for put-away according to company procedures.

RMA Management: Process Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and coordinate the proper handling and disposition of returned products.

Issue Rack Auditing: Perform daily audits of the warehouse issue rack to identify, investigate, and resolve inventory or receiving concerns.

Warehouse Organization: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness within receiving, staging, and related warehouse areas.

Inventory Control Support: Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory control initiatives to improve overall inventory accuracy.

TrainingDevelopment: Train and support warehouse associates on receiving procedures, operational standards, safety expectations, and best practices.

Process Compliance: Promote accountability and consistency by helping enforce warehouse procedures, safety standards, and standard operating procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, and other departments to communicate shipment priorities, receiving issues, and inventory concerns.

Documentation Management: Ensure receiving documentation is completed accurately, maintained appropriately, and readily available when needed.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve receiving efficiency, organization, inventory accuracy, and process consistency.

Safety Compliance: Follow and promote all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.

Department Support: Assist warehouse leadership with additional operational responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Experienced: You have 2–4 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or related operational experience. Prior lead or coordinator experience is preferred.

Forklift Capable: You have forklift experience or are willing to become forklift certified.
