Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in meal areas
- Support residents’ social engagement and emotional well-being through compassionate interaction.
Skills
- experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or personal care homes with a strong understanding of senior care practices and plus but we're willing to train the right candidates.
- Experience in assisted living environments, home & community care, or group home operations a plus
- Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively to emergencies
- Desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring support
- Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer’s care techniques, including behavior management strategies and plus
- Willingness to learn vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic health monitoring
- caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and a caring attitude
- Ability to learn how to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes
- Valid driver’s license
