Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our guests and staff. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct welding and residential painting as needed to maintain the aesthetic quality of the property.
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing system repairs, HVAC system servicing, and electrical equipment repair.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activities efficiently.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during complex projects or repairs, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Lead small teams in maintenance projects while maintaining high standards of customer service for hotel guests and staff.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations during all maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems repair, plumbing maintenance, HVAC system troubleshooting, welding, and residential painting.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team or project setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report on maintenance activities effectively.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and experience with electrical equipment repair is essential.
