Job Summary
Join our team as a Retail Sales Associate at The UPS Store, where your friendly attitude, professionalism, and customer-focused approach will help create an excellent experience for every customer. In this role, you will assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, copying, mailbox services, and other store needs while accurately processing transactions and maintaining an organized, professional store environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and working in a fast-paced retail setting. Training will be provided to help you become confident with our services and store procedures.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist customers with shipping, packing, printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and other store services
- Recommend appropriate shipping and store services based on each customer's needs
- Operate POS and computer systems to process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions responsibly
- Prepare and package customer shipments safely and securely
- Print shipping labels and process packages according to store procedures
- Receive, organize, and maintain incoming packages and shipments
- Assist customers with mailbox services and other store offerings
- Answer customer questions in person and over the phone
- Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures for transactions and shipments
- Stock supplies, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean and professional store appearance
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and coworkers
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient daily store operations

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, printers, copiers, and other office equipment
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to lift and move packages as required for the position
