The Flag Football Official is responsible for officiating youth and/or adult league games and tournaments. This position ensures fair play, enforces rules, and maintains a safe and positive environment for participants.
The payrate for this position is $30/game
The Sports Official reports directly to the Sports Official Assignor and Sports Coordinator.

Follow all Champaign Park District safety policies and perform all work in a manner that ensures the safety of oneself, the public, fellow employees.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion in all interactions, including maintaining strict confidentiality regarding staff information, communications from supervisors, and conversations with parents or patrons. Uphold the Park District’s policies and standards for data privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Officiate games and tournaments in accordance with league rules and Park District policies.
Make quick, impartial judgments and communicate decisions clearly to participants and coaches.
Maintain control of games, ensuring participant safety and sportsmanship.
Mentor and support less experienced officials.
Resolve conflicts effectively
Attend all required meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
Work evenings and weekends as scheduled
Remain adaptable to learning and officiating new recreation activities as needed.
Comply with equal opportunity and harassment laws, policies and procedures.

- Must be at least thirteen (13) years old; candidates under sixteen (16) must have a valid work permit.
