MID Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer with a Civil Engineering background and strong exposure to US construction projects or US-based clients. This role focuses on project coordination, documentation control, procurement tracking, and construction communication workflows.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and experienced in managing multiple technical construction deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Experience with California Building Codes (CBC) and Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) compliance and coordination is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Documentation & Controls
- Manage and complete all Requests for Information (RFI) within required timelines
- Oversee full Submittal Management process, ensuring timely review and closure
- Handle all Notice to Proceed (NTP) documentation and execution tracking
- Manage and finalize all Change Order documentation and coordination
- Ensure project documentation complies with California Building Codes (CBC) and applicable LAMC requirements
2. Project Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project logs throughout project duration
- Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities and updates
- Track progress and status of key project deliverables
- Monitor project compliance with local building regulations and construction standards
3. Coordination & Communication
- Facilitate clear communication between internal departments
- Coordinate between MID Construction and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, consultants)
- Ensure alignment across engineering, procurement, and site execution teams
- Coordinate with city agencies, inspectors, and consultants regarding CBC and LAMC-related requirements when needed
4. Procurement & Site Support
- Support and monitor all procurement requests from site teams
- Track and log material deliveries to site, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist in resolving delivery or procurement-related issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Must hold a Civil Engineering License OR have 3–5 years of relevant construction/project engineering experience
- Preferably with US construction company or US client experience
- Strong background in construction documentation and project coordination
- Familiarity or working experience with California Building Codes (CBC) and Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) requirements is highly preferred
Pay: From $8.00 per hour
