Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity
- Transport various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and specialty equipment like dump trucks or roll-off trucks
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers in an over-the-road setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment
- Delivery driver experience with a focus on freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving efficiency
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment including forklifts for loading/unloading when required
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving, cargo securement, and DOT compliance
- Flexibility to travel long distances over extended periods with a commitment to punctuality and safety standards

Pay: $2,384.93 - $2,872.17 per week
