Reporting to the Chief Data Officer (or equivalent executive leader), this role is accountable for ensuring stability, scalability, and business value realization from the existing enterprise data stack during ongoing platform migrations and transformation initiatives.
This leader will focus on:
Supporting Insurance MGAs and Operating Companies (OpCos) across the current-state ecosystem
Delivering transversal and shared service analytics capabilities across Finance, IT, People, Risk, and Operations
Ensuring continuity of reporting, insight generation, and performance transparency during migrations
Establishing cross-functional data standards that enable interoperability across legacy and modern platforms
This role operates at the intersection of technology and data migration execution and enterprise analytics enablement. It requires executive presence, strong operational command of complex data environments, and the ability to translate evolving technical architecture into actionable business intelligence.
Lead analytics and reporting continuity across legacy platforms during enterprise migration initiatives.
Ensure no degradation of business-critical reporting across underwriting, claims, finance, customer operations, and HR.
Establish transitional data operating models that bridge legacy and modernized platforms.
Partner with transformation and IT leaders to define cutover analytics readiness criteria and validation frameworks.
Mitigate data risk associated with system decommissioning, integration gaps, or platform instability.
Deliver enterprise analytics capabilities serving Finance, IT, People, Risk, and other transversal functions.
Establish standardized KPI frameworks that align OpCo performance to enterprise financial and operational objectives.
Build scalable dashboards and executive reporting mechanisms supporting enterprise governance.
Create cross-OpCo data comparability standards to enable portfolio-level transparency.
Ensure analytics support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
Serve as the primary data analytics executive supporting Operating Companies operating on the existing stack.
Align data capabilities with business needs while ensuring standardization across brands.
Develop insight frameworks that support pricing, underwriting performance, claims efficiency, and customer retention.
Partner with OpCo leaders to elevate analytics maturity and self-service capability.
Act as executive escalation point for data reliability and insight delivery issues.
Enforce governance standards across legacy and modern environments.
Ensure consistent definitions for metrics, data lineage, metadata management, and quality controls.
Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to maintain regulatory integrity.
Define transitional AI and model governance frameworks where applicable.
Establish interoperability guardrails across third-party platforms and vendor ecosystems.
Lead and scale data analytics teams through subordinate managers and technical leaders.
Define capability roadmaps aligned to migration milestones and enterprise priorities.
Own budget planning, investment prioritization, and ROI measurement for transversal analytics initiatives.
Establish measurable KPIs linking data analytics performance to enterprise financial outcomes.
Drive a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and executive-level communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
Advanced graduate degree preferred.
12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data, analytics, or digital transformation.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex platform migrations or enterprise transformation programs.
Proven success delivering cross-functional analytics in regulated industries (insurance preferred).
Experience operating within hybrid legacy + cloud environments (Azure and modern data platforms preferred).
Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, quality management, and KPI standardization.
Demonstrated financial accountability, including budget oversight and ROI measurement.
Executive-level communication skills with ability to translate technical risk into business language.
Remote with preference for Boston, New York, or Chicago. Periodic travel to corporate offices and Operating Companies required.
