Join Our Team as a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN)!
Wedgewood Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend RN to play a vital leadership role in delivering exceptional care to our residents. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading a team, and are passionate about making a difference, this is the opportunity for you.
What You Bring:
- Current New York State RN license in good standing
- Previous experience in geriatrics and/or a supervisory role preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership ability, and a commitment to high-quality care
What You’ll Do:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of resident care during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular rounds to assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and provide hands-on care as needed
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting of resident status
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in condition and carry out orders appropriately
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical policies, including proper narcotic management
- Coordinate lab work and follow through on medical orders and treatments
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance quality of care and implement improvements
- Collaborate with the Infection Control Nurse to address any potential concerns and initiate appropriate precautions
- Maintain strong communication with leadership, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism
