We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery within our manufacturing facility. This role involves tasks such as performing routine inspections, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and ensuring that safety regulations are adhered to at all times. This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and fix them before they escalate.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
3. Diagnose and repair machines and equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Monitor the performance of machines regularly to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
5. Select and install new equipment as per the operational requirements of the facility.
6. Ensure all machines and tools are used correctly and safely.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
8. Train other staff members on the safe and efficient use of equipment and machines.
9. Keep a record of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
10. Stay updated with the latest manufacturing methods and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven technical understanding and mechanical skills.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and preventive maintenance.
4. Proficiency in using various machines and tools.
5. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
6. Experience in operation monitoring and equipment selection.
7. Ability to install and maintain various types of machinery and equipment.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Strong communication and training skills.
10. A commitment to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
11. Relevant certification or diploma in a technical field is preferred.
