Our agency is implementing an innovative, client-driven treatment model where individuals customize their weekly treatment experience through a structured enrollment system that combines substance use treatment, mental health services, and health education.
Clients are motivated to stay engaged because treatment leads somewhere: stability, graduation, and a pathway to permanent housing.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all treatment schedule, clients actively build a weekly recovery schedule based on their goals, needs, and stage of recovery. As an LADC, you will help guide clients through a structured recovery pathway where they choose from a variety of treatment services—including individual counseling, recovery groups, psychoeducation, peer support, cultural events, ceremonies, mental health services, and health education classes—to earn progress toward graduation.
This model gives clients ownership over their recovery while allowing counselors to focus on what matters most: building relationships, supporting change, and helping people stay engaged in treatment.
Because clients are motivated by meaningful real-world outcomes—including a pathway to permanent supportive housing—you’ll spend less time chasing engagement and more time helping people achieve graduation.
You’ll work alongside therapists, mental health case managers, Community Health Workers, and housing professionals in a truly integrated care model that addresses the whole person—not just substance use.

What you’ll actually be doing
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and help develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide both individual and group counseling to support individuals experiencing substance use challenges
- Facilitate recovery-focused groups and therapeutic interventions
- Use motivational interviewing and SUD counseling techniques to support change
- Provide crisis intervention and support when needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Assist clients to create their own schedule

Requirements
- Valid Minnesota LADC license required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of treatment experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required
- Ability to pass a DHS Net2Study criminal background check required
- Must be free from problematic substance use for at least two years

Pay: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
