Outlook Montessori is seeking a warm, caring, and dependable Toddler Teaching Assistant to support our Toddler classroom. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, understands the importance of patience and consistency, and is excited to support a Montessori learning environment.
The Toddler Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Lead Teacher to help create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom where children can grow in independence, confidence, and social-emotional development.
Responsibilities
The Toddler Teaching Assistant will:
Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom routines and activities.
Help maintain a calm, clean, and prepared Montessori environment.
Assist children with practical life skills such as handwashing, toileting, dressing, eating, and cleaning up.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
Encourage independence, respectful behavior, and positive social interactions.
Observe and support each child’s individual needs with patience and care.
Follow classroom and school policies for health, safety, and supervision.
Assist with preparing materials, cleaning shelves, sanitizing items, and organizing the classroom.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, staff, and families.
Help ensure children are supervised and cared for at all times.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
