Overview
We are currently recruiting a Purchasing / Receiving agent for Blanca Forestry Products sawmill/office, Blanca Colorado. Will be responsible for liaising between the mill operations, Project group, Sawmill Superintendent, Accounting Controller and General Manager throughout all phases of the planned capital projects, Daily breakdown parts procurement, and organization and ownership of Sawmill storage areas. The successful candidate will provide clear communication and engage all parties to ultimately align with the mill’s method of operations.

Duties
- Coordinate between the mill operations and capital projects team for all planned capital projects and upgrades at the mill.
- Follow all small projects through all phases including equipment construction, ready to test, testing, startup inventory storage and inventory management.
- Provide clear communication to the mill operations, Accounting, and Maintenance superintendent.
- Engage all vendors, contractor parties and the workforce to ensure project objectives are being met, and we maintain a world class inventory system.
- Maintain the highest standards for safety performance and lead with an impeccable personal example.
- Create safety policies and procedures in relation to equipment upgrades including the creation of lock out tag out programs and JSAs.
- Facilitate daily meetings to ensure all parties are aligned.
- Oversee on-site vendors and project groups as necessary.
- Review and maintenance of Purchase order system.
Experience
- Post-Secondary education is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of lumber manufacturing including equipment and processes
- Strong overall knowledge of the method of sawmill operations
- Exposure to sawmill equipment and maintenance including the mechanical and electrical components
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment
- Detail and results oriented
- Ability to function under pressure
- Strong business focus and the ability to think tactically and strategically

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
