Sam Diego Events is growing fast — and we’re looking for a strategic, charismatic, and sales-driven Schools and Youth Event Partnerships Sales Partner to expand our preferred vendor network, drive bookings, and unlock new markets.
This is a commission-based business development role focused on creating strong relationships with wedding planners, venues, coordinators, and production partners. You’ll be the connector that puts Sam Diego Events at the top of referral lists in San Diego, OKC, and emerging national markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Strategy
- Secure partnerships with venues, planners, hotels, and DMCs that result in repeat referrals
- Negotiate and close preferred vendor agreements, sponsorships, and event collaborations
- Present the Sam Diego Events experience in B2B meetings, walkthroughs, and showcases
- Identify, pursue, and convert high-potential relationships into consistent revenue streams
Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the wedding and corporate event space
- Serve as the go-to liaison between Sam Diego Events and external partners
- Track performance and engagement from each partnership to optimize referrals and retention
- Ensure seamless onboarding, communication, and collaboration with new partner accounts
Brand Representation & Expansion
- Represent Sam Diego Events at industry mixers, bridal shows, venue open houses, and planner events
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop co-branded marketing, styled shoots, and promotional strategies
- Help identify new regional markets and venue categories for strategic growth
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in business development, event sales, or partnership management (preferably in weddings, hospitality, or events)
- Proven track record of initiating and closing B2B partnerships
- Deep familiarity with the luxury/planner-driven events industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong local knowledge of the San Diego or OKC event scenes is a plus
Compensation:
