Four Paws Animal Hospital and Wellness Center is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to work a 4-day work week (approx. 38 hours/week). Shifts are Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Must be available days/evenings (no later than 7:30 PM). Prefer individual with previous veterinary experience, but will train the right candidate. Candidate must demonstrate initiative, and have excellent attendance and punctuality.

Job Qualifications and Requirements include but are not limited to:
1. Basic computer and math skills
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Ability to perform or assist with: patient restraint, IV catheters, in-house laboratory procedures, surgery prep, anesthesia recovery, digital radiology, patient care and husbandry; as well as provide other assistance to the doctors and licensed veterinary technicians (LVT’s).
Other duties as assigned; including overall cleanliness and stocking of the hospital.
